What Area Do We Cover?
The aim of a Community First Responder is to reach the location of an emergency situation within 4-6 minutes. It should be appreciated that this is not always possible.
The area that will be covered by the Wickhambrook & Lidgate Community First Responders team will be: Wickhambrook, Stradishall, Ousden, Lidgate and surrounding area and villages. That will be where the surrounding area is within an approximate radius of 4-6 minutes in driving distance from the centre of those locations.
The team will be split into two sub teams, one based in the north of the area and the other the south. Each will have a defribrillator and associated equipment. This will allow this one team to cover a larger area.

When Is Cover Available?
The Community First Response team is "manned" by volunteers who provide their free time to the scheme. The amount of cover that is provided to the scheme is based on the number of individuals in the team and the amount of free time they are able to allocate.
It is the aim of the team to provide as much cover 24/7 as is possible. However, due to other commitments that the volunteers have, such as work, this is not possible.
